Bespoke Solutions
At Urbis we understand that every lighting scheme is slightly different, and that our customers sometimes need a bespoke solution to meet their particular needs. Whether you want to create a unique feel for a town centre redevelopment, or you want to make a powerful aesthetic statement, we are here to help you achieve your vision.
We have a large and dedicated department that offers the flexibility to create new components, or modify existing products to meet our customers’ requirements. Our aim is to achieve the best value possible for you when doing this.
One of our expert engineers will co-ordinate the whole service from conceptual design ideas through to supply, and will be on hand at all times to deal with both the technical and commercial aspects of your project.
This be-spoke service is supported by our research and development department, who have access to state-of-the-art equipment and highly advanced computer software. This allows exhaustive research to be carried out on each component of the luminaire during development. The department has many different functions, which enables us to offer our customers new solutions to their lighting needs.
Reliability
Our engineers will work to ensure that our bespoke solutions are manufactured to the same high quality as all standard Urbis products.
Our industrial design team works closely with customers and architects to find the best aesthetic solution for your scheme.
Assisted by the latest 3D CAD modelling and visualisation software, our engineers are continually improving the performance levels of the luminaires.
Responsiveness
Our production facility is set up to deal with the challenges involved in producing small quantity bespoke orders.
Accurate prototypes can also be made in just a few days without machining, directly based on computer data.
Assurance
Our team of development engineers liaises closely with our suppliers to assist with integrating the latest technology into our product ranges.
Our production team oversees the manufacturing and product assembling process to ensure the highest quality standards are met.
To ensure we achieve the design loading specifications outlined in the original brief our engineers can perform finite-element analyses. This makes it possible to simulate the application of external stresses (e.g. wind, bridge vibrations etc.) and to study their distribution across a structure.
