Marina Walk, Ellesmere Port
The second phase of a large regeneration project in Ellesmere Port included enhancements to the public space around the Marina Walk area. To successfully complete the enhancements to the space, required the design of a new lighting scheme.
Background
Urbis supplied 6 Francescas mounted on 6m curved slender grey columns, along with another 14 that are wall mounted. The units all come equipped with 150W CDM-T lamps, and also use Urbis' μR® (micro-reflector). This combination achieved a uniform lighting distribution around the main pedestrian areas of Marina Walk, whilst keeping the number of luminaires needed to properly light the space to a minimum.
