Lamp

  • High Pressure Sodium 150W/250W tubular. (Saturn 500 Zebra.)
  • High Pressure Sodium 250W/400W tubular. (Saturn 700 Zebra.)

Control Gear

  • Integral gear comprising ballast, ignitor and capacitor mounted on a removable gear tray. The control gear compartment is sealed to a rating of IP55.

Protection

  • Self-resetting thermal cut-out fitted in ballast.

Optical Unit

  • Sealsafe® IP66 sealed beam optic comprising reflector No 1451 bonded to a 1-piece heat formed, clear polycarbonate protector bowl via a transition plate.

Standard Saturn Zebra

Canopy:

  • The Saturn 500/700 has a heat formed opal acrylic upper hemisphere, secured to the body by 3 non corrodible screws and sealed with silicone.

Support Ring:

  • Die cast in aluminium (Saturn 500) or extruded and rolled aluminium (Saturn 700) having stoved black finish, using polyester powder coating process over a RoHS-compliant chrome passivation substrate.

PECU:

  • Option. Fitted to canopy (using a water tight gasket) and wired to lantern control gear. Type 'Microstar' (70 lux).

Suspended Saturn 700 Zebra

Canopy:

  • Upper hemisphere is made of spun aluminium having a stoved white finish and secured to a rolled aluminium support ring, having a stoved black finish, by means of 3 non corrodible screws and sealed with silicone. Both the canopy and ring use a polyester powder coating process over a RoHS-compliant chrome passivation substrate.

PECU:

  • Option. Fitted to canopy, (using watertight gasket) and wired to lantern control gear. Type 'Microstar' (70 lux).

Installation Information

Mounting:

Standard Saturn Zebra
  • The Saturn Zebra can be side entry mounted, using an optional adapter with socket and grub screws for mounting on a 60mm bracket with a 32mm diameter horizontal spigot. (Saturn 500 Zebra only.)
  • Alternatively the Saturn 500/700 Zebra can be post mounted using an optional VT adapter. These adapters are available for the Saturn 500 Zebra for column diameters of 60, 76 and 89mm. The VT adapters for the Saturn 700 Zebra are available for column diameters of 89, 114 and 140mm
Suspended Saturn 700 Zebra
  • Suspended from the top of the canopy, by means of a 1½" B.S.P. parallel threaded mild steel tube. Both are secured by using lock nuts

Photometric Centre:

  • Photometric centre is positioned centrally in the lantern body

Options

Design:

  • Upper hemisphere can be supplied in heat formed polycarbonate which can be formed in various colours. (Standard Saturn only.)
  • Upper hemisphere can be made of spun aluminium, which can be painted to any British Standard or RAL colour.
  • The supporting ring can be painted to any British Standard or RAL colour
