Lamp

Control Gear

Optical Unit

  • Sealsafe® comprising reflector type 1523 (asymmetric) with shallow glass bowl, featuring the revolutionary Easilok® Sealsafe® system, ensuring a tightness rating of IP66. Also available with a choice of flat glass, dished polycarbonate, or shallow acrylic or polycarbonate protectors. (When using the 1523, the lamp holder is located at the front of the lantern.) The Easilok® system automatically isolates the electrical supply when relamping (resetting any timed cut-out ignitors when re-inserted), and ensures that the lamp is replaced into the exact, designed focus within the reflector.
  • Sealsafe® comprising reflector type 1543 (asymmetric) with flat glass, dished polycarbonate, or deep bowl protector. Sealed to a tightness rating of IP66. (When using the 1543, the lamp holder is located at the rear of the lantern.)

Body

  • High pressure die-cast aluminium, with stoved polyester paint finish (over a RoHS-compliant chrome passivation substrate).

Canopy

  • High pressure die-cast aluminium, with stoved polyester paint finish (over a RoHS-compliant chrome passivation substrate). The canopy ensures a control gear compartment tightness of IP44. It has a 3-point over-centre closure catch, made from die-cast aluminium, finished to match the canopy.
  • Option: Canopy in injected polypropylene (light grey), with plastic hinges and retaining strap.

NEMA

  • Fitted to canopy (using watertight gasket and 4 non-corrodible screws), and wired to lantern control gear.

Installation Information

Mounting:

  • Horizontal on a 60mm, 48mm or 42mm diameter bracket arm with 110mm penetration. Locking by means of two M8 stainless steel Allen screws.
  • Vertical on a 76mm or 60mm diameter column using the tool-free reversible mounting plate (60mm penetration). Locking by means of two M8 stainless steel Allen screws.

  • Distance from back of lantern to photometric centre: 0.40m
