Optical Unit
- Sealsafe® IP66 "Zebra" sealed beam unit comprising reflector type 1451 (left/right handed - LH/RH) bonded to a clear polycarbonate deep bowl protector with an embossed arrow indicating correct orientation of lantern relative to traffic flow. Sealed within the bowl are two glass diffuser strips with alternate black/white panelling. Whole assembly is secured to lantern body by means of a longitudinal hinge and two draw latches and when lowered gives access to control gear and lampholder..
Body
- Extruded aluminium having a grey anodised finish, with a die cast aluminium end cap having a stoved grey finish (using polyester powder coating process over a RoHS-compliant chrome passivation substrate).
NEMA
- Fitted to extrusion (using watertight gasket and 4 non-corrodible screws), and wired to lantern control gear.
Installation Information
Mounting:
- Vertically on VT76 cast aluminium alloy bracket having a stoved grey finish (process described above), secured to rear of lantern body. Bracket has a socket and grub screws to enable post-top mounting onto a 76mm diameter vertical spigot (penetration 200mm).
- Side-entry on 42-60mm spigot, using a cast aluminium alloy bracket.
