Products from the Hernandez & Fernandez range

The Hernandez and Fernandez lighting units are designed by Jordi Henrich and Olga Tarrasó further to the redevelopment of public lighting in the city of Barcelona. The two ensembles have been developed based on an optical compartment that conducts light. Different models of lighting columns - made of Corten steel - are available. The height and inclination of the model selected will vary depending on the site to be illuminated (pedestrian zone, intersection, etc.). The design of the lighting column and the principle of light conduction are the factors that confer on the ensemble a remarkable harmony of shapes and light effects.

based on a light-conducting optical compartment 3.90 metres in length with an inclination of 20°.
there is also a Hernandez Mini with the same length but with an inclination of 25°.

based on an optical compartment of 3.90 metres with an inclination of 50°.
also available in the Fernandez Mini version (length 2.50 m) with an inclination of 15°.

The luminaire recessed in the inclined part of the lighting column is made up of two elements:
- a box containing the reflector, the lamp and the control gear.
- the light-conducting element composed of an aluminium box and a refractor.
The whole unit is closed off by means of a glass protector.
Additionally, for the four models, an extra Sealsafe® (IP 66) optical compartment may be installed in the base of the inclined part, to provide increased lighting.
