Protection

Optical Unit
- Sealsafe® IP66 sealed beam optic comprising lower reflector No 1455 and refractor bowl No 1487. Top reflector is bonded to a 1-piece moulded thermoplastic glazing unit, bonded in turn to upper body casting.
Body
- Die-cast aluminium, in two parts, having stoved paint finish (using polyester powder coating process over a RoHS-compliant chrome passivation substrate). Top body casting forms part of the Sealsafe® optic unit and is hinged to the lower casting by means of a stainless steel hinge and 2 no stainless steel closing bolts. When raised gives access to lampholder and control gear compartment.
Canopy
- Spun sheet aluminium, having stoved paint finish as framework. Secured to body via 2 No. arms, in aluminium or electropolished stainless steel.
Mounting
- Lower body casting incorporates a socket and grub screws for mounting on a 76mm diameter column-top spigot.
PECU
- Option. Fitted to base casting, (using watertight gasket) and wired to lantern control gear. Type 'Microstar' (70 lux).
