Description
- Aura is designed by Portuguese architect Alvaro Siza, the Aura ensemble is available in two configurations: the Aura DI combining direct and indirect light distribution and the Aura I with exclusively indirect distribution.
Lantern
Aura DI
- comprised of an upper parabolic reflector and a luminaire, to provide both direct and indirect lighting.
- upper parabolic reflector made of fibreglass, self coloured white, positioned at the top of the cylindrical-conical aluminium lighting column. Optional anodised aluminium version available.
- a luminaire positioned under the parabolic reflector, is composed of a spun aluminium dome, and a die-cast aluminium supporting ring.
- dome is provided with a central cupola made of polycarbonate, sealed onto the aluminium in order to allow the light to hit the parabolic reflector.
- two Sealsafe® optical units. The direct lighting unit sealed to a tightness rating of IP66 to a flat glass protector, via a flat transition plate. Secured to body by means of a hinge and two quick release clamps, when lowered giving access to the control gear and reflectors. The indirect lighting unit, comprising μR® (micro-reflector) with flat glass protector. Sealed to a tightness rating of IP66. Optional protectors available.
Aura I
- comprised of an upper parabolic reflector made of fibreglass, self coloured white, positioned at the top of the cylindrical-conical aluminium lighting column. Optional anodised aluminium version available.
- lighting is provided by a recessed Terra floodlight placed at the foot of the lighting column.
Column
- Tapered column made of aluminium.
- Recommended installation heights between 6 and 8 metres for the Aura DI, and 6 metres for the Aura I.
