Urbis' Northern Office is located in Bradford, and fulfils two functions. The warehouse mainly acts as the distribution facility for Urbis' Topaz range, but also holds consignment stock for other Group products.

Most of the products stocked are used on street lighting maintenance projects and PFI programmes throughout the UK. This warehouse gives Urbis the flexibility to manage stock levels and control distribution more effectively.

The office is currently manned by experienced regional support engineers, who work closely with a warehouse supervisor to ensure customer needs are met.

There is also a conference room that seats around 16 people, which is used for training and customer CPD seminars. These cover a range of topics on street lighting, and are all CPD approved by the Institution of Lighting Engineers.

The Product Offering

The Urbis Topaz range includes the Altra, Alva, Aresa, Nano and the Opalo lanterns. The Altra lantern can be mounted as post-top or side-entry, and is available in two sizes. The Altra 2 can accommodate lamps up to 36W PL-L compact fluorescent, and the Altra 3 can take 55W and 80W PL-L compact fluorescent lamps.

The Alva is a suspended decorative lantern which is available in two sizes. The Small Alva caters for lamps up to 150W SON-T Plus. The Large Alva takes lamps from 100W to 250W SON-T Plus.

The Aresa lantern like the Altra, can be mounted as post-top or side-entry, and is available in two sizes. The Aresa 2 can accommodate lamps up to 36W PL-L compact fluorescent, and the Aresa 3 can take 55W and 80W PL-L compact fluorescent lamps.

The Nano lantern is characterised by its compactness and a contemporary design. The entire luminaire has an IP66 tightness level. The Nano is available in two sizes and will take lamps up to 100W SON-T Plus.

The Opalo is a side entry lantern which is available in two sizes. The Opalo 1 caters for lamps up to 100W SON-T Plus, and for PL-T compact fluorescent lamps up to 57W. The Opalo 3 takes lamps from 150W to 250W SON-T Plus.

Both the Aresa and Nano lanterns also have LED versions. LED lanterns are characterised by their low energy consumption for high-quality photometric performance. The Aresa LED lantern will take up to 32 LEDs, and the Nano LED lantern will take up to 16 LEDs.

Standard lantern types are also available as an 'off the shelf' product to meet customers' needs.
